SS Tauric
WSL Tauric 1891-1929
Tauric was built in 1891 by Harland and Wolff, in Belfast. She was built as a livestock carrier but occasionally carried a few cabin class and steerage class passengers. Tauric's maiden voyage was from Liverpool to New York, but she eventually worked the Liverpool to Portland route. She was transferred to the Dominion Line in 1903 and renamed Welshman. Transferred again to the Leyland Line in 1921 and was scrapped eight years later in 1929.
